Not ready and scared

It’s Monday. I am at school. This is my classroom.  Іt’s 8 o’clock. I look at the posters on the wall. They are nice. Oh! Who is this, under the table?  Oooh!!! It’s my friend Sam.

-         Why are you under the table, Sam? And why are you so sad?

-         We have English today and I am not ready. I can’t read and write the new words. So I’m scared.

-         Don’t you do your homework every day?

-         I do. But on Sunday I visit my granny. She’s so happy! I eat pizza and drink a milkshake. My granny is a cook. There is a nice playground at her house.  I run, jump and ride my bike. Then I help my granny. When I come home I am very tired.

The teacher comes into the classroom. She can hear Sam. She says, “Sam, you can do your homework on Saturday and help your granny on Sunday. And today you have to stay after the lessons and do your homework at school.”

Vocabulary  :  sad -   сумний
